CAVITENOS Moves

Mabuhay!

The Philippines in southeast Asia is known for its strong typhoon and destructive earthquake. The Philippines this year has been affected by typhoon and earthquake lots of times every year. But why is our country being affected by tons of typhoons and eaertgquakes?

The reason behind is because the Philippines is situated within the Pacific Ring of Fire, a horseshoe-shaped fault zone in the Pacific Ocean that is vulnerable to earthquakes, typhoons or volcanic eruptions. We can generally say that the Philippines is situated where natural events occur a lot in Asia.

With how common these are in our country it is important to have an emergency response plan to help us out if ever it hitted our community to avoid any problem in the community.

Your Mitigation

To Ensure Safety in Advance

EARTHQUAKE & TYPHOON

Our community is first of all a community full of grasslands, big houses lined up and at the same time has lots of big fields. The community is also located outside fault lines causing the community to rarely experience such natural disasters. The houses in the local community are majority made up of cement, mortar and concrete as this makes the houses last longer. Aside from that statement with how houses are made up from, this withstands weathering, flooding, and environmental disasters as our country is prone to this. With that being said, once an earthquake hits our area it is easy to do the actions planned out as there are lots of open fields in our local community to go to.

!!!To Know!!!

Survival Kit/Go Bag

(Have an emergency survival kit, also known as a "Go Bag," that includes health-related personal protective equipment such as face masks, face shields and sanitation solutions, as well as other survival necessities such as easy-to-prepare and non-perishable food.)

Follow BIDA

(The acronym “BIDA” is very useful as we should remember that we are currently in pandemic.)

Follow Advisory

(We shall stay tune to what the officials has said in medias, radio or any way to communicate. Staying updated allows you to be aware if everything is fine to do action.)

Be Prepared

(Natural Events are unpredictable and must not be underestimated. That is why we must be ready anytime and anywhere for what our community will suffer in.)

Preparedness

What you need to Ready

If any disasters happen to the local community, the citizens would be doing what was taught to them to do by the government and follow the protocols of COVID-19 which is wearing a face mask, face shield and social distancing to avoid any further spread of virus.

IMPORTANT NEEDS IN GO BAG

COVID-19 NEEDS

COMMUNICATION

To alert people from any disaster in the community there are 2 ways being done in San Agustin II, Dasmariñas, Cavite.

HOTLINES

EVACUATION PLAN

Your Response

(The NGO (Non Government Organization) and the Security Guards helps the people out especially to the people who were greatly affected.)

!!!Focuses!!!

The NGO, and Guards has supplies and equipment prepared for disasters and emergencies which are stored in the assembly area such as:

Medicines or First Aid Kit, Water Supply, Drinks and Food to go and Needs for Pandemic: Extra Masks and Face Shields.

If there are some supplies or equipment that are lacking we could ask the barangay hall or the mayor and congress of the barangay Damsarinas for help on the required needs of the community.

Your Recovery

Restoring back to the Normal Society

If ever there are structures or areas affected, concreting is one common way that is being used by the barangay.

Cement's ability to keep a building together stronger is one of the reasons why the barangay uses this. Concrete in fact is made by combining water, sand, and gravel.

While recovery is being done to the community, the people would be going to the official evacuation center of San Agustin 2 (Dasmarinas, Cavite). This center would provide the essential needs of people such as temporary shelter(tent).
